Redesign chassis and hand-pad housings for a revised line of histological microtomes
Descher Automation worked with the customer's engineering and marketing teams to envision a chassis housing that suited form and function while also adhering to the customer's branding. Descher also designed new acetate control pads to overlay the sub-contractor's electronics. 3D CAD was employed to interface with the customer through design revisions, as well as develop tooling and mold details for subsequent fabrication. Following the project design phase, Descher supported the customer's pilot build program by serving as the liaison to a local thermo-forming molder, ensuring good housing fit across the product line.
